First I assign my body to the grave and my spirit to God who gave it. Second My will is that my wife Martha Ann Peirson have all my notes and money and all other property whatever belonging to me both here and in Alabama and _?_ _?_ or that may be coming to me from any quarter whatever all to be hers to do with as she thinks proper, after the payment of all my just debts which I wish done so soon as is possible for it to be done, the property given to Martha Ann as aforesaid is to be hers during her natural life or widowhood, and whatever she may have at her death or marriage I wish equally divided between her and my children Sarah Francis, John Clark, and Susan Elizabeth or as many of them as may be living at the time of my wifes death or marriage. It is not intended by me that my wife should be debarred from trading any thing of mine she may wish to trade, but to the contrary, she is at perfect liberty to do so but all that she has coming from me directly or arising from my estate I wish disposed as aforesaid and divided as aforesaid. Third My will is that my property be taken in hand by my executrix herein after named and according to the laws of Alabama, but that she collect and pay off my debts, secure my dues and give and take receipts without going to the expenses _?_ made in the settling of estates in Alabama. Forth I appoint my wife Martha Ann executrix to this my last will and testament this August the nineteen (19) day of 1852 - to all of the above I set my hand and seal the day and date above. William Peirson Thomas C. Trice William Pryor James W. Dorsey State of Georgia Pike County We William Pryor and James W. Dorsey two of the subscribing witnesses to the written will of solemnly swear that we saw William Peirson sign and seal and heard him publish and declare this writing to be and contain his will at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind and memory and that he did it freely without compulsion to the best of our knowledge and belief and that we saw Thomas C. Trice sign the same as witness. William Pryor James W. Dorsey Attest in open court this 6th September 1852 Wiley E. Mangham Ordinary State of Georgia Pike County I Martha A. Peirson do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last will and testament of William Peirson deceased so far as I know or believe and that I will well and truly execute the same by paying first the debts and then the legacies contained in said will as far as his goods and chattels will _?_ extend and the law charges me and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all such goods and chattels so help me God.
