Dr L.J. Green John B Bunkley and J L Smith were present last evening the ninth of September in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and seventy eight at the residence of A.J. Williamson a married man, before and at the time of his death in perfect possession of his mental faculties as appeared to us said A J Williamson called upon the bystanders and upon the indersigned in particular to remember and take notice of what he was about to say when he said 'I wish my old lady (meaning his wife) to have all my effects after my just debts are paid and to take control of the same, as though I were here (meaning in life) and at her death the remainder if any to be divided equally divided among my children and about seven hours after making said statement and will he died this September 20th 1878. John S Reid L J Green J B Bunkley J L Smith Georgia Pike County} We John S Reid, L.J. Green, J.B. Bunkley & J.L. Smith do solemnly swear that we were present during the last sickness of A J Williamson and were present at the time of his making his verbal will that he did bid us bear witness of what he was about to say while making his said will that the same was made or said at his place of residence, he having lived at said place over the space of four months preceding his death that at the time of his making said nuncupative will he was of sound disposing mind and memory, that he did it freely without compulsion, and that the said A J Williamson made the above request of us on the 9th day of September 1878, and that he died on the 9th day of September 1878, that on the 20th day of September 1878 we wrote his bequest down in the within paper and that we are satisfied that he desired his wife to have control of his estate fully from first to last. J S Reid sworn to & subscribed before me this Oct 8th 1878 L J Green J B Bunkley J L Smith State of Georgia Pike County} In person appeared before the undersigned a justice of the peace in and for said county John S Reid, L.J. Green, John B Bunkley and J L Smith who being duly sworn says that this writing contains the last request and verbal disposition of the personal property & real estate of A.J. Williamson, deceased late of said county and is just and true in all its parts. Sworn to & subscribed before me the Sept 20th 1878} John S Reid J. T. G. Caldwell A P & J P L J Green J B Bunkley J L Smith Georgia Pike County} I Jane Williamson do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last will for A J Williamson as far as I know or believe and that I will well & truly execute the same by paying first the debts and then the legacies contained in said will as far as his goods and chattels will thereunto extend and the last charges me: That I will make a true & perfect inventory of all such goods and chattels So help me God.
