All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: D Hill dawnlfdp@yahoo.com December 1, 2003, 6:47 am Source: Pike County, Georgia, Will Book D, Pages 210-212 Written: October 10 1882 Recorded: February 7 1894 Pike County, Georgia, Will Book D, Pages 210-212 State of Georgia Pike County} The last will & testament of Geo W Williamson of said state & county Considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner & form following to wit: Item 1st I desire & direct that all my just debts be paid by my executor herein after appointed Item 2nd I give bequeath and desire to my beloved wife Harriet E Williamson for her own use and benefit as a support for her during her natural life the following property to wit: All my lands stock provisions farming tools household & kitchen furniture and money sufficient to supply her necessities Item 3rd I desire and direct that all my notes due and unpaid be collected by my executor and all money on hand be equally distributed among my children to wit: Ann E Gunter, wife of Ira L Gunter, Margarett J Allen, wife of John A Allen, Thomas R Williamson - my son, Mary E Souter, wife of John F Souter & Emma E Akin, wife of Burrel S Akins, except my son Thomas R whom I have already given three hundred dollars in cash more than the rest of my children. I desire and direct that all the rest of my children to wit: Ann E Gunter, Margarett J Allen, Mary E Souter and Emma E Akin, receive each of them three hundred dollars a piece before my son Thomas R receive any thing then he to received of the remainder an equal portion with the rest Item 4th I desire and direct that after the death of my beloved wife Harriett E all property remaining be sold by my executors and distributed as in item 3rd Item 5th I hereby constitute and appoint B S Akin my son-in-law & John T Cadenhead, my friend, executors of my last will and testament George W Williamson (his Mark) (LS) signed sealed declared and published by Geo W Williamson as his last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers who subscribe our names hereto in the presence said testator & each other & at his instance and request This October 10 1882 J T Baker J A Conner W T Goddard Georgia Pike County} Personally came before me in open court J T Baker named as a witness to the within writing purporting to be the last will and testament of G W Williamson deceased, who being duly sworn says that he together with J A Conner & W T Godard the other witnesses to said paper saw G W Williamson sign the same as his last will and testament.
