All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: D Hill dawnlfdp@yahoo.com December 1, 2003, 11:14 pm Source: Pike County, Georgia Will Book D, Page 216-217 Written: March 12 1894 Recorded: October 12 1894 Pike County, Georgia Will Book D, Page 216-217 Georgia Pike County} In the name of God Amen: I J W Hamil of the county and state aforesaid being of weak body but of a sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make the following my last will and testament hereby revoking all wills that I may have made heretofore Item 1st I will that my just debts be paid and that I be buried at the Billingsley Grave Yard in a descent and orderly manner and a square monument with our names, mine and my wife, and thereon be placed thereon and the whole grave yard be enclosed with a neat wire fence, also that my daughter's grave be newly done up and cemented all over also that my sister Sarah Franklin's grave at Concord be enclosed in a cheap and descent manner. Item 2nd I will that the rest of my property after the above part of my will is complied with be equally divided between my three grandchildren to wit: Joseph A Carmichael Jr, Emma Sams and Bloomer B Carmichael, provided that the said Bloomer B Carmichael is to receive one hundred dollars before said division Item 3rd I hereby appoint J D Carreker, my friend and brother in the church and Masonic Lodge, to be the sole executor of this my last will and testament to have free and complete control of my estate until my above will is fully complied with. That he was at the time of said testation of sound and disposing mind and memory and executed the within paper freely and voluntarily.
