First I will and bequeath my body to the dust and my soul to God. Second I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses paid with the first money collected by my executor. 3rd I further will and bequeath to my wife Resea Caroline Barker the following described lands - to wit - all that portion of Lot No. one hundred and ninety in the ninth district of Pike County, the line commencing on the _?_ landing from Hall’s ferry to Zebulon, one hundred yards west of the dwelling on said lot to run due south to the original line to include all the east side of said lot, also seventy acres more or less including all the lands bought of John H. Cochran as Trustee of Mrs. Bradbury and one half acre bought of James C. Holmes off lot No. one hundred and ninety. I also will and bequeath to my wife Resea Caroline Barker, two Negro slaves Jerry, a boy twelve years old, Doris (?) a woman thirty five years old, also two choice mules, two choice cows and calves, one buggy and harness and all household furniture that I may be in possession of at my decease, and one years provisions. Fourth I furthermore will that my executor dispose of all the remainder of my real and personal estate and make an equal division among all my surviving children including the property I have to my daughters Mary Matilda and Mary Elizabeth. Sec 5th I do appoint Samuel Park my sole Executor. In witness whereof I have hereinto set my hand and seal in the presence of John T. Hall J.(?) Thompson W.D. Thompson, do solemnly swear that we saw Thomas Barker sign, seal, and heard him publish and declare this writing to be and contain his last will and testament, and at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind and memory, and that he did it freely without compulsion to the best of our knowledge and belief, and that we signed the same in the presence of each other and the testator and that we did it at the request of the testator. Thompson sign the written last will and testament of Thomas Barker as a witness at the request of said Testator and that he did it in our presence and in the presence of said Testator . J.(?) Mangham Ordinary Georgia Pike County I Samuel Park, do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last will and testament of Thomas Barker deceased so far as I know or believe and that I will well and truly execute the same by paying first the debts and then the legacies contained in said will, as far as his goods and chattels will thereunto extend and the law charges me, and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all such goods and chattels so help me God.
