Bussey make and declare this writing to contain my last will and testament. Item 1st I will and desire that at my death all my just debts be paid. Item 2nd After my just debts are paid I desire my beloved wife Amanda J.(?) Bussey to have the whole of my property of what kind so ever for and during her natural life to enable her to educate and raise our children with full power to sell and dispose of such portion of my estate as she may deem proper and right for the purpose of paying my just debts or any other necessary expense incurred in and about the educating and raising my children without being oblige(sp) to make _?_ returns of the same and at the death of my beloved wife that all my property so held and managed by her be equally divided among all my children share and share alike. Item 3rd I appoint my beloved wife Amanda J. Bussey my executrix to carry out the provisions of this my will. In witness whereof the said James C. Bussey has hereunto set his hand and seal this 8th day of March 1862 J. C. Bussey Signed sealed and declared in presence H. Green T.J. Bussey Levi Elliot _?_ Turner(?) Georgia Pike County Before me came of the 5th January 1863 at chambers for the purpose of proving the last will and testament of James C. Bussey the witnesses of said will viz H. Green T.J. Bussey and Levi Elliot and the will having been before that time brought before me for probate by the Executrix Amanda Bussey who has filed a petition or probate of the same they the said witnesses dispose of the same that they saw said James C. Bussey sign and heard him publish the same as his last will in the day and year then stated as executed by him that they witnessed the same at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other that the same was voluntarily executed by him while he was of sound and disposing mind and memory. Hartford Green Levi Elliot T.J. Bussey Sworn to and subscribed before me this 5th day of January 1863 J. Sims Ordinary Georgia Pike County I do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last will of the within named James C. Bussey deceased so far as I know or believe and that I will well and truly execute the same by paying first the debts and then the legacies contained in the said will as far as his goods and chattels will thereunto extend and the law charges me and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all such goods and chattels so help me God.
