I John Barfield of the County and State aforesaid being infirm of body, but of sound mind and memory, do make and declare this my last will and Testament and at the same time utterly revoking all former wills made by me declaring this to be my only Last Will & Testament in form following (viz) Item 1st After paying all my just debts I give the whole of my estate both real & personal and everything that I am possessed of or may die possessed of to my beloved brother Samuel Barfield to his own proper use & disposal for ever. And lastly I do hereby appoint my said brother Samuel Barfield executor of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I do hereunto set my hand & seal this day and date first above written Signed sealed & acknowledged. John Barfield In presence of Uriah Askin Isaac B. Williamson William M. Bethine Georgia Pike County Court of Ordinary January Term 1840 The within last will & testament of John Barfield having been duly proven at this regular term Inferior court upon the oaths of Uriah Askin, Isaac B. Williamson & William M.
