Polk County, Georgia - Old Stewart Cemetery township of Antioch, City of Cedartown, County of Polk, State of Georgia Submitted and surveyed by Cathy Moore Casper August 12, 2000 Located on Runyon Loop Road just before Antioch Baptist Church. Turn off of Antioch Church Road onto Runyon Loop. It winds around and you will see the cemetery on a hill. This cemetery is being taken over by kudzu and I am not sure that I read every possible stone there. I have been told that my great great grandfather, Pleasant Philemon Privett was buried there along with his wife, Catherine M. Garner Privett. They were buried under a single slate stone which just read "Privett". I did see a few slate stones which had fallen over. There may be others who are buried here but whose stones have been lost. I also want to say that my aunt told me of a severe flu epidemic in the 1917-1919 time frame. This flu was deadly and killed many children and older people. Any death date in this time frame might be caused by that influenza. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barry, Lizzie born 4-22-1892 died 2-2-1912 Blackmon, Fannie died 1934 Balckmon, Mattie died 1936 Blackmon, Mary Pearl (on marker with Charles Williams, below) Blackmon, W.
