York of the one part, ans V. E. and G. L. Brownlow of the other part, Witnesseth: That the party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of One Thousand, Seven Hundred Thirty four & No/100 Dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, sold and conveyed unto the said V. E. and G. L. Brownlow, their heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County of Polk State of Georgia as follows: Land lot number 427 and 428 in the 21st District and 3rd Section of Polk County, Georgia, each lot containing 40 acres, more of less,. Being the same property as described in a deed from Oneal Liner to Grantee dated January 8, 1946, recorded in Deed Book 73, page 51, in Clerk’s office of Polk Superior Court, which said tract or parcel of land the said Lawrence E. York will well truly warrant and defend from the claim of all persons whatsoever, unto the said V. E. and G. L. Brownlow , their heirs and assigns, forever, fee simple. In Testimony Whereof, The said Lawrence E. York hath hereunto set his hand and seal, the day and year above written. Lawrence E. York Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of: Louise Poole Cecil D. Franklin, N. P. Ga. Recorded 13 day of Oct., 1947 Additional Comments: V. E. and G. L. Brownlow were Virgil Ephriam and George Lester Brownlow, sons of James Madison Brownlow. The area the farm was in was called "The Pineywoods". It had an orchard and several cotton fields.
