Cedartown Advertiser:  Mrs. Wm. C. Penny, who lives one mile east of Cave 
Spring, has shown us a specimen piece of ironstone china ware made from kaolin 
that has been dug on his place.  The ware is made by Isaac Davis, at Trenton, 
N.J., to whom Mr. Penny hs been shipping the mineral for some time.  Mr. Penny 
informs us that he has already gone thirty feet below the surface in the mine, 
having shipped over one hundred tons, and the supply seems yet inexhaustible.  
There is a large hill on his place which he thinks is full of the mineral.  The 
ware looks to us as good, if not superior, to any sold in our stores, except 
the finest china ware.  Mr. Penny has just received as a present from Mr. Davis 
116 pieces of the ware which he is using in his household.  The mineral is said 
to be abundant in this immediate section, and we believe if works for the 
converting of it into wares wares were established somewhere in this latitude 
they would find a home supply of the mineral on hand to run them for years.  
The fact that northwest Georgia is one of the finest mineral regions in the 
union will some day be generally recognized, in our opinion.  We hope to see it
