The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, April 28, 2004
Mr. Raymond “R.B.” Barker, 59, 661 Hall Station Road, Kingston, GA died April 
19, 2004. Mr. Barker was born in Polk County on February 11, 1945, son of the 
late Lillie Mae Pope Barker and the late John Henry Barker. Prior to retirement 
he was self-employed in the auto mechanic and auto body repair business. He was 
preceded in death by son, Mr. John Curtis Barker. Surviving are wife, Doris 
Christine Womack Barker, Kingston; daughters, Ramonda Williams, Aragon, Rebecca 
Reeves, Taylorsville, Helen Redd, Cartersville, Jamie King, Adairsville; son, 
Jeff Barker, Adairsville; sisters, Oralee Tucker, Rockmart and Inez Washington, 
Austell; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The 
funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004 in the Mt. 
Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment was held in 
the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Williams, Shane Williams, Willard 
Wilkerson, Tommy King and Gerald McGouric. Honorary escorts will be Curtis 
Reeves, Christopher Redd, John Philip and Jeffery Barker. Freeman Harris 
Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown,
