The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, December 05, 2003
Ruby Estelle Barnett, 87, of 16 Sutton Road, passed away Friday, Nov. 28. She 
was born Sept. 15, 1916 in Polk County. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by: 
parents, J.W. Oscar Welchel and Etta Bridges Welchel; husband, Raymond E. 
Barnett; and son, Varnell Barnett. Survivors include: sons, Raymond E. Barnett 
Jr. and John P. Barnett; sister, Annie Carrie Ricks; and a number of 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A number of 
nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec. 
1, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Gammage Funeral Home, with Rev. Bud Davis Jr. and 
Rev. Robert Boatner officiating. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the
