Elaine L. Brown, 74, of 129 Cobb St., Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 
2003. She was born April 9, 1929. She was a licensed nurse of the Baptist 
faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin A. and Alice Jones 
Ledford; husband, Walter J. Brown; and brothers, Marlin Lowell Ledford and Jack 
M. Ledford, Sr. Survivors include a son, Alan Brown; a sister, Brenda L. White; 
and a brother, Glenn L. Ledford. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 
10, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. 
Ricky Shedd and Rev. Chris Truett officiating. Interment followed in Northview 
Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alex Thornton, Keith Barber, Tracy Samples, Jimmy 
Lee “Pete” Houston Jr., Darrell White, and William Witherall. Alvis Miller and
