The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, May 21, 2003
Nerva Lee Brumit, 85, of 528 Hunter St., Rockmart, passed away Friday, May 16, 
2003. She was born Dec. 17, 1917 in Lanett, Al., and was a member of the 
Cedartown Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon B. 
Brumit, and her daughter, Mary Linda Cantrell. Survivors include sons, Travis 
Wynell Powell of Texas, Wayne Powell, Wenfrey Pete Powell and David Brumit, all 
of Cedartown; special granddaughter Jackie Cantrell Yarbrough of Aragon; 10 
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 
Monday, May 19 at 2 p.m. in the Cedartown Church of Christ with Rev. James 
Nelson and Rev. Jerry Noblin officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory 
Gardens. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
