Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net February 2, 2007, 11:48 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, November 13, 2003 John Calvin “J.C.” Busby, 82, of 505 North 5th Ave., Rome, passed away Nov. 8, 2003. Mr. Busby was born in Jacksonville, Ala. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II and was retired from the funeral industry. He worked with both Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home and J. Austin Dillan Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by: parents, Calvin and Georgia Lee Smith Busby; brother, Paul Busby; sister, Frances Pogue; and daughter, Diane Busby. Survivors include: brother, George W. Busby of Pelham, Ala.; and sister, Hattie Marie Sorrells of Athens, Ga. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. from Northview Cemetery with the Rev. J.C. Robinson officiating. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
