Her remains were brought here Sunday for interment in Greenwood cemetery. Services were held at the graveside by Rev. G W Smith, pastor of Pooltown Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. Linder. Mrs. Burdett spent the greater portion of her life in Polk county and was one of the seven to constitute the Pooltown church 52 years ago. She lived a long and useful life. Mrs. Burdett will be remembered as the widow of the late J. A. Burdett, a prominent citizen, who preceded her in death several years ago. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. G. L. Kennedy, of Fitzgerald, she is survived by two sons, Otis H. Burdett of Atlanta, and E. L. Burdett of Birmingham, and by a nephew (whom she reared) Ed Mitchell of Atlanta. Those from out of town here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mitchell of Atlanta; Miss Cora Whitten and John Whitten of Buchanan, and thirteen grandchildren from atlanta and Fitzgerald, and six great grand children. Her grandsons acted as pall bearers.
