Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 29, 2007, 6:14 pm The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, July 17, 2003 John Thomas Cambron III, 75, of Sebastian, Florida passed away July 9. He was born in Cedartown, Georgia in 1927 to John Thomas Cambron, Jr. and Mamie Lydell Burnley Cambron. He graduated from Cedartown High School in 1944 and joined the U.S. Navy. He served in the Navy for 11 years and returned to Cedartown in 1955 and established a dental laboratory before beginning a career with the Rome Insurance Agency. He served as president of the Lion’s Club, a member of the Polk County School Board and as a deacon in the Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the insurance industry’s Million Dollar Round Table. He also lived and worked in Germany until he moved to Florida to retire. Mr. Cambron is survived by his daughters, Patricia Cambron of Woodacre, California, Lydell Berry of Walnut Creek, California, Carol Lee Ayers of Cedartown and Debra Vandewal of Portland, Maine; his grandchildren, Aaron Maxwell, Lee Ayers, Emily and Madd Bodiford and Joe Mountain Berry; and his sisters, Peggy Rutledge of Cedartown and Marie Girrard of Powder Springs. Mr. Cambron is also survived by a step-daughter, Brooks Mondears and step-son, Blake Callahan, both of Jacksonville, Fla. A memorial service was held for Mr. Cambron at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 17 at Litesey’s Funeral Home in Cedartown.
