The Rockmart Journal, Rockmart, GA< February 2004
Mrs. Jeanette H. Cannon, 76, 2681 Morgan Valley Rd., Rockmart, died February 
10, 2004. Mrs. Cannon was born in Bartow County on November 8, 1927. She had 
lived most of her life in Polk County. She was a member of the New Prospect 
Baptist Church. For 30 years she was an employee of the Super D Variety Store. 
She was preceded in death by husband, Mr. Sam Buford Cannon. Surviving are 
sons, Larry Cannon and Gary Cannon, both of Rockmart; sister, Mrs. Sarah Young, 
Cartersville; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. The funeral service 
was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004 in the Alvis Miller & Son 
Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Robert Wright and Rev. Ed Pasley officiating. 
Interment was held in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert 
Cannon, Gary Jan Cannon, Sam Cannon, Steve Gamel, Jeff Dunn and Zane Cannon. 
The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. (The Rockmart
