Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 25, 2007, 12:18 pm The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, May 06, 2003 Nellie Elizabeth Jackson Chandler, 92, of 331 North Marble St., Rockmart passed away Saturday, April 26, 2003 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Polk County on Dec. 19, 1910 and was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doice Chandler; parents, Louella Baldwin Jackson and James Ivy Jackson; son, Doice Chandler, Jr.; two sisters, Pauline Jackson and Bessie Davis; and a brother, Clifford Jackson. Survivors include daughter, Glenda C. Rosenberger of Pennsville, NJ; brother, Clyde Jackson of Cedartown; sisters, Inez McGee and Irene Hendrix, both of Rockmart; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 3 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Shedd officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Rockmart. Pallbearers were Benny Tolbert, Steve Hendrix, Kevin Rosenberger, Kent Rosenberger, Gary Paris, James Todd and Jay W. Jackson. Honorary pallbearers were Greg Gober, Hoyt Purser, Wayne Hembree, Homer Brown and Preston Yarborough. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
