The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, October 23, 2003
James G. Clements, 82, of Columbus, died Monday, Oct. 20, at his place of 
residence. He was born in Lanett, Ala. Dec. 6, 1920, the son of James A. and 
Lizzie Mae Briskey Clements. He was a retired truck driver with Central Georgia 
Railroad and was a member of the Northside Christian Church in Fortson. 
Surviving are: wife, Oora Morgan Clements; daughter, Dolores “Dee” Nokes of 
Ellerslie, GA; son, James M. Clements of Columbia, S.C.; sister, Owana Humber 
of Fayetteville; brother, Jessie L. Clements of Cedartown; and two 
granddaughters. Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Antioch Baptist 
Church in Cedartown, with Rev. Joe Woodard officiating. Interment followed in 
the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Northside 
Christian Church, 9801 Whitesville Rd., Fortson, GA 31808. The obituary notice 
was submitted by McMullen Funeral Home, Inc., of Columbus. (The Cedartown
