Mr. Eddie Charles Cochran, 69, 461 Clearwater St., Rockmart, died December 20, 
2003. Mr. Cochran was born July 8, 1934 in Polk County, a son of the late 
Albert Benjamin Cochran and Lillian Inez Crabb Cochran. He had lived all of his 
life in Polk County and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, 
Rockmart. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired employee of Lockheed 
Aircraft Corporation where he had been employed for 25 years. He was also a 
former member of the Rockmart Lions Club. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Iolet Hayes 
Cochran to whom he was married July 17, 1981; sisters, Ms. Janice Cochran, 
Rockmart, Mrs. Emily Lawson, Cornelia and Mrs. Wanda Moates, Blue Ridge; number 
and nieces and nephews. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, 
Dec. 23, 2003 in the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. James Brewer and 
Rev. Charles Dyer officiating. Interment was held in Rockmart Memorial Gardens. 
Pallbearers were Scott Dephew, Robert Upton, Ricky Chandler, Mark Pinkerton, 
Charles Tibbitts and Ralph Meeks. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home had
