Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., July 02,2003
Jerry D. Cox, 62, of Douglasville passed away Thursday, June 26, 2003. He was 
born September 8, 1940 in Cedartown and was a member of the Douglasville 
Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a retired Master Electrician 
with White Electric Company. He was also a member of IBEW #613 in Atlanta. He 
was preceded in death by his parents, Gartrell J. and Myra Cox. Survivors 
include his wife, Fay Cox of Douglasville; son, Mark Cox of Douglasville; 
daughter, Jill Jordan of Douglasville; brothers, Keith and Phillip Cox of 
Cedartown; sister, Pat Bishop of Felton; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and 
nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 28 at 2 p.m. in the 
Rose Haven Chapel with Rev. Larry Beech officiating. Interment followed in the 
Rose Haven Cemetery. The Whitley – Garner Rose Haven Funeral Home was in charge 
of the arrangements. This announcement is made locally by the Lester C. Litesey
