Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 1, 2007, 5:28 pm Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., March 31, 2003 John Dee Crabb, 68, of Knight Rd., Rockmart died Tuesday, Mar. 25, 2003 at a local hospital. He was born Oct. 28, 1934 in Polk County and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rome. He was a veteran, serving in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. James Otis Crabb and a brother, Tommy Ray Crabb, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Mary Irene Atkins Crabb of Rockmart; daughters, Jennifer Crabb Willis of Greenville, SC and Ciney Crabb Morey of Alligan, MI; sisters, Betty Coffman of Rome and Elsie McDow of Marietta; cousin, Sarah Atkins Pursley of Cedartown; one grandson, and a number of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 27 at 4 p.m. in the Antioch Baptist Church in Polk County. Dr. Robert Wright officiated. Interment followed Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Burt Coffman, Tommy Ray Crabb, Jr., Brian Fulbright, Tony Barnes, Keith Weaver, Eddie Jett and Buddy Nations. Daniel’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
