Mrs. Billie Jean Motes Davenport, 64, 703 Forrest Ave., Rockmart, died February 
26, 2004. Mrs. Davenport was born November 16, 1939 in Aragon, daughter of Mrs. 
Juanita White Motes and the late Mack Motes Sr. She served as a Judge with the 
Polk County Magistrate Office for 17 years. She was a member of the United 
Methodist Church of Aragon. She was preceded in death by father, Mr. Mack Jones 
Motes Sr.; husband, Mr. James Duane Davenport Sr. Surviving are mother, Mrs. 
Juanita White Motes; daughters, Mrs. Lesa Kimbro, Rockmart, Mrs. Cathy Albea, 
Rockmart; son, Jimmy Davenport, Rockmart; brother, Mack Motes Jr., Aragon; nine 
grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. 
Saturday, February 28, 2004 in the Rockmart First United Methodist Church with 
Rev. Carol Cook officiating. Eulogy was provided by Dan Casey. Interment was 
held in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Andy Williams, David Williams, 
Chris Williams, Joel Williams, Ronnie Kent, Guy Davenport Jr., Hal Davenport, 
Sam Davenport and Phil Kinney. Freeman Harris Funeral Home had charge of
