Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net October 9, 2006, 12:18 pm The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, April 1, 2004 Donald Hugh Davis, Sr., 75, of Sylacauga, Ala. passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Decatur General Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and a retired minister serving the Church of Christ all across the southeast for over 51 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Davis. Survivors include his wife, Jeannine Clifton Davis of Sylacauga, Ala.; son, Rev. Donald Hugh Davis, Jr. of Rincon, Ga.; daughters, Rachel Ann Wilson of Rockmart, Lyndia Ruth Blanton and Rebecca Jane Deason, both of Decatur, Ala.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at Marble City Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Hugh Davis, Jr. and Rev. Tommy Reaves officiating. Graveside services were conducted, at 3 p.m., at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Graceville, Fla. Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
