The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, August 14, 2003
James E. “Jim” Davis of 146 Jule Peek Ave., Cedartown, passed away Friday, 
August 8, 2003. He was born May 18, 1940 in Polk County, Tenn. He was preceded 
in death by his parents, L.T. Davis and Martha Jane Howard Davis Duncan. 
Survivors include wife, Doris June Hudson Davis; son, James Keith Davis; 
daughter, Karen Jo Stroup; three granddaughters, and other extended relatives. 
Funeral services were conducted Monday, August 11 at 11 a.m. at Pine Bower 
Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Landham officiating. Interment followed in Pine 
Bower’s cemetery. Pallbearers were George Locklear, Wayne Tillmann, Joey Lee, 
Greg Locklear, Tim Brock, Benny Wayne Landrum, Doug Atkins, and Jeff Brown. 
Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown
