Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., December 30, 2002
Bobby Deaton, 61, of 65 Oak St., Aragon, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, 
in Rockmart. Mr. Deaton was born February 3, 1941, in Rome, GA. He was a 
Norfork Southern Railroad Conductor with thirty years service and a member of 
Aragon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace J. and 
Sylvia Aiken Deaton. Survivors include wife, Patsy Brumbelow Deaton of Aragon; 
son, Lee Deaton of Aragon; daughter, Penny Deaton of Saint Robert, MS; 
brothers, Earl Deaton of Aragon and Charles Deaton of Calhoun; and four 
grandsons. The funeral service was held Monday, Dec, 23 at 4 p.m. at Aragon 
Baptist Church. Rev. Stan Pittman and Rev. Gary Parris officiated, and 
interment followed in Aragon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Godfrey, Doug 
Rayburn, Kenny Causey, Robert Abernathy, J.J. Bryan, and Barry Gore. Freeman 
Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (Cedartown Standard,
