Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, March 13, 2003
Mattie Sue Dempsey, 89, of 1612 Prior Station Rd., Cedartown, passed away 
Saturday, Mar. 8, 2003. She was born Sept. 19, 1913 in Polk County and was a 
member of Little Cedar United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by 
her parents, William and Bessie Dempsey. Survivors include a brother, Dub 
Dempsey of Cedartown, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 
conducted Monday, March 10 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Litesey Funeral Home 
with Rev. Van Dempsey and Rev. Wayne Rice officiating. Interment followed in 
the Sanders Cemetery. Pallbearers were Neal Dempsey, Lewis Pittman, Spencer 
Brazier, Donald Malone, and Homer Dempsey. Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was
