The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, August 08, 2003
Sallie Mae Denman, 76, 651 West Ave., passed away Monday, Aug. 4. She was born 
in Polk County and was preceded in death by: husband, Seals W. Couzzourt; 
husband, James W. “J.W.” Denman; mother, Clara Thrasher Dodwin; father, Johnny 
Marvin Thrasher; and brother, James Thrasher. Survivors include: Patricia A. 
and Daniel Carney of Rome; Danny and Elaine Couzzourt of Rome; Gwen and Butch 
Patterson of Cedartown; Dollene D. and Randy Ray of Cedartown; brother, Brooks 
Thrasher of Rome; sister, Frances Arvelle Johnson of Cedartown; nine 
grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral 
services were held Aug. 7 in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. 
Billy Frasier and Rev. Royce Campbell officiating. Interment followed in the 
Northview Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Mark Purser, Eddie Carter, Jim Glaze, 
Stanley Wallace, Robert Mullinax and Wayne Landrum. The Gammage Funeral Home
