Girard Ave, passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003. He was born May 9, 1931 in Chocolocoo, AL., and was a member of Lime Branch Baptist Church, where for over 28 years he was a member and served as a deacon for many of those years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany, and was the former owner of Dingler’s Mobile Home Park and Dingler’s Drive-In. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and Thelma Chastain Dingler; brothers, R.E. and Bud Dingler; and sister, Imogene Brown. Survivors include wife, Janet Edmudson Dingler; daughters, Shelia Bailey and Sandi Landrum; brother, Tommy Dingler of Cedartown; sisters, Betty Barrett of Cedartown, Virginia Wright of Florence, S.C.; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. in the Lime Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy McGuire and Harry Duggan officiating. Interment followed in the Lime Branch Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland Post 86. Pallbearers were: Harry Duggan, James Casey, Brett Mulcay, Greg Orebaugh, Greg Casey and Max Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were: Gene Beck, Greg Shelly, Al Dingler, Jeff Ricket, Tim Turner, Ricky Lankford, Herschel Wright and Greg Carter. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
