Charles Edward “Ed” Dingler, 72, of 330 W. Girard Ave, passed away Saturday, 
Sept. 27, 2003. He was born May 9, 1931 in Chocolocoo, AL., and was a member of 
Lime Branch Baptist Church, where for over 28 years he was a member and served 
as a deacon for many of those years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving 
in Germany, and was the former owner of Dingler’s Mobile Home Park and 
Dingler’s Drive-In. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and Thelma 
Chastain Dingler; brothers, R.E. and Bud Dingler; and sister, Imogene Brown. 
Survivors include wife, Janet Edmudson Dingler; daughters, Shelia Bailey and 
Sandi Landrum; brother, Tommy Dingler of Cedartown; sisters, Betty Barrett of 
Cedartown, Virginia Wright of Florence, S.C.; one granddaughter and several 
nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. 
in the Lime Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy McGuire and Harry Duggan 
officiating. Interment followed in the Lime Branch Cemetery with full military 
rites conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland Post 86. Pallbearers were: Harry 
Duggan, James Casey, Brett Mulcay, Greg Orebaugh, Greg Casey and Max Thompson. 
Honorary pallbearers were: Gene Beck, Greg Shelly, Al Dingler, Jeff Ricket, Tim 
Turner, Ricky Lankford, Herschel Wright and Greg Carter. The Lester C. Litesey 
Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown,
