The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, July 07, 2003
Tommy Dover, 65, of 100 County Road, Center, Ala. passed away Sunday, June 29, 
2003 in Centre. He was born Aug. 24, 1937 and had recently moved to Centre from 
Cedartown where he had lived for twenty years. He was a retired employee of 
Patat Plywood and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman and 
hunter. He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Dover. Survivors include 
his wife, Johnnie B. Dover; sons, Tommy Dover of Rainesville, Ala. and Scott 
Dover of Maryville, TN; stepson, Frank Crawford of Cedartown; stepdaughters, 
Donna Seddon, Vickie Bell and Bonnie McCarty, all of Cedartown; mother, Ruby 
Mauldin Dover of Fite, Ala.; sisters, Ellen Vinson and Estelle Cupp, both of 
Cedartown, Faye Stewart and Glenda Stewart, both of Dawson, Ala., Brenda Hearn 
and Sharon Thompson, both of Collinsville, Ala., Debra Hairl of Ft. Payne, Ala. 
and Carol Henson of Ten Brooks, Ala.; brothers, Marvin Dover, William Edward 
Dover, Dennis Dover and Donnie Dover, all of Peek Corner, Ala.; 13 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 
Thursday, July 3 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home 
with Rev. Trey Chambers officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. 
Pallbearers included Jeff Crawford, Chris Seddon, Andrew McCarty, Aaron 
McCarty, Nick Renfroe, and Daniel Bell. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home was
