Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net December 30, 2006, 9:17 am The Cedartown Standard, January 27, 1972, Page 3-B Mr. Lewis Brantley Drummond, age 58, of Esom Hill passed away Tuesday in the Polk General Hospital following a few days illness. Mr. Drummond was born April 14, 1915 in Floyd County and had lived all of his life in Floyd and Polk County. He was a member and deacon of the Lake Creek Baptist Church where he was the Past Treasurer for the church. He was the Security Guard for the West Point Pepperell Mill in Lindale. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Rody Lee Drummond of Esom Hill, three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Ledbetter of Cedartown: Mrs. Mary Doris Sherbert, Mrs., Ruby Neil Edwards both of Esom Hill; four sons, Mr. Herman D. Green of Cedartown; Mr. David N. Green of Lindale; Mr. James E. Green of Brunswick, GA.; Mr. Lewis Drummond Jr. and Mrs. J. E. Drummond of Cedartown; seven sisters; Mrs. Blance Justice of Lindale, Mrs. Mildred Bryant of Rome; Mrs. Mary Atkins of Lindale; Mrs. Betty Haynie of Lake Worth, Fla.; Mrs. Erlene Astin of Cedartown; Mrs. Evelyn Brown of Felton, Mrs. Elizabeth Dollar of Dade City, Fla.; four brothers; Mr. Duel Drummond, Mr. Clarence Drummond, Mr. Eugene Drummond, all of Cedartown; and Mr. Earl Drummond of Rome; 19 grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. from the Lake Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Harvey Brown, Johnny Boatner and J. Billy Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mr. Jimmy West, Mr. Raymond Barnett, Mr. Julian Howard, Mr. Lloyd Culp, Mr. Boyd Culp, and Mr. Lindsey Rosser. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of the Lake Creek Baptist Church. Gammage Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
