Mr. M. M. Dyer, 57, Route 1, Felton, died suddenly Monday afternoon at Floyd 
County Hospital.  He was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church and a 
retired textile employee.  Mr. Dyer was born March 31, 1990 (Note: I typed this 
obit as it appears in the newspaper.  I believe the birth year is probably 
1910) in Polk County and had lived most of his life in Haralson County.  
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Virdell Low Dyer, Felton; one daughter, Mrs. 
Clarice Deering, Buchanan; 3 sons, Mr. Milton C. Dyer, Midway City, Calif., Mr. 
Ralph E. Dyer, Stone Mountain, GA., Mr. David E. Dyer, Bellflower, Calif; one 
sister, Mrs. Cola Davis, Rockmart; four brothers, Mr. A. J. Dyer, Mrs. W. A. 
Dyer, Cedartown, J. G. Dyer, Rockmart and Mr. J. D. Dyer, Sr., Felton; six 
grandchildren also survive.  Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. from 
the Mountain View Baptist Church with the Rev. Elton Tanner and the Rev. Lowell 
White officiating.  Interment will be in the churchyard cemetery.  Nephews will 
serve as pallbearers. Olin Gammage Funeral Home is in charge of the
