Murrol Forrister, 70, of 166 Cornelius Road, Cedartown passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004. He was born Feb. 18, 1934 in Calhoun County and was a member of the Friendly Baptist Church. He was a retired printer and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Flora Mattie Howell Forrister; brother, Frank Forrister; and sister, Mae Swaney. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Forrister of Cedartown; sons, Rev. Robert “Rocky” Forrister of Covington and Rev. John Geran Forrister of Powder Springs; step-son, Cecil “Bo” Couzzort, Jr. of Cedartown; daughters, Pamela Pace of Waleska; Brenda Dingler and Renea Puckett, both of Cedartown; step- daughters, Lisa Reynolds of Tallapoosa and Amanda LeFurgey of Cedartown; brother, Jack Monroe Forrister of Cedartown; sisters, Louise Wester of Esom Hill, Jo Anne McGregor of Palmetto, Sue Cook of Newnan and Sherry Parker of Cedartown; and a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 2 at 2 p.m. in the Friendly Baptist Church with Rev. R.B. Hulsey and Rev. Jerome Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Northview Cemetery. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
