Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., September 03, 2003
Arlin Monroe Forsyth, 88, of 834 College St., Rockmart, passed away Saturday, 
Aug. 23, 2003. He was born Dec. 19, 1914 in Paulding County, son of the late 
Callie Seals Forsyth and the late Elijah Rose Forsyth. He was a member of 
Friendship Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 30 years. He also 
served on many other committees, was a member of the Rockmart Masonic Lodge #97 
F & AM, Rockmart Chapter 321 Order of the Eastern Star, and was employed in the 
construction industry during his working career. Survivors include wife, Bersha 
Camp Forsyth; son, Douglas Forsyth; brother, E.R. Forsyth; sister, Audrey 
Mauldin; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great great-
grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at 
Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Walraven, Rev. Larry Davis, and Dr. 
Tony Weaver officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Church Cemetery with 
Masonic Lodge #97 F & AM in charge of rites. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in
