Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net October 11, 2006, 12:25 pm The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, March 2004 Merle Wyman Froysland, 80, of 224 Houseal St., Cedartown, passed away March 1, 2004. He was born Sept. 7, 1923 in Audubon, Minn. Mr. Froysland was a US Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a retired Boiler Maker from the Graver Tank Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Froysland and parents, Olaf and Emma Froysland. Surviving are his son, Edward Mitchell Strickland of Wilmington, Del.; sister, Laverne Johnson of Fargo, N.D.; brother, Amer Froysland of Audubon, Minn., and niece Barbara Adams of Cedartown. Two grandchildren also survive. Private family services were conducted. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hyman Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown had charge of arrangements.
