Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., April 15, 2003
Harold Austin Gilliam, 72, of 230 Central St., Cedartown passed away Tuesday, 
April 8, 2003. He was born June 25, 1925 in Polk County and was a member of the 
Congregational Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albie 
and Julia Weaver Gilliam. Survivors include his son, Lynn Gilliam of Cedartown; 
daughter, Wanda Sue Elder of Ringgold, GA; brothers, Jerry Gilliam of Alabama 
and Buddy Gilliam of Bremen; sisters, Jackie Watts, Jean Sloman and Freddie 
Chandler, all of Cedartown, and Edna Bussey of Villa Rica; 1 grandchild, 1 
great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 
conducted Thursday, April 10 in the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral 
Home at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Green and Rev. Gerald Sloman officiating. 
Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. Mr. Gilliam’s nephews served as 
pallbearers. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the
