The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, December 18, 2003
Richard Lee Gilmore, 81, of 279 Denton Rd., passed away Saturday, Dec. 13. He 
was a veteran of WWII and was born Sept. 18, 1922 in Floyd County. Mr. Gilmore 
was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin Gilmore and Dollie 
Couzzort Gilmore. Survivors include: wife, Gertrude Gilmore; daughters, Angela 
Sue Gilmore and Joyce A. Shephard; and sister, Grace Cox. Four grandchildren 
and six great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted 
Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with 
Rev. Owen Davis officiating. The interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens with 
Brewster Cleveland Post #86 officiating. Gammage Funeral Home had charge of the
