Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net October 13, 2006, 8:02 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, April 29, 2004 Mr. Joseph “Joe” Howard Gray, Jr., 75, of 560 Prospect Road, Rockmart, passed away Thursday, April 22. Born December 16, 1928 in Elizabeth, N.J., Mr. Gray was the son of the late Joseph Howard Gray, Sr. and Madeline Wilson Gray. He was of the Episcopalian Faith, a retired employee of Engineered Fabrics of Rockmart, and also worked many years for General Electric of Rome. He was preceded in death by his brother, Willson Gray. Survivors include: his wife Mrs. Sandra Witcher Gray of Rockmart; sons, Paris Gray and Tommy Gray of Cedartown; and their mother Mary P. Gray of Cedartown; three step-sons, Anthony Coalson of San Diego, Calif., Jody Coalson and Michael Malloy, both of Rockmart; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 24 at 2 p.m. in the Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Brown and Dr. Tony Weaver officiating. Interment followed in the Prospect Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Eddie Witcher, Joe Witcher, Thomas Witcher, David Witcher, Johnny Malloy, and Corey Gray. Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
