The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, April 03, 2003
Martha Miller Greene, 87, formerly of Gordon County and Cedartown, passed away 
Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 in the Winthrop Manor of Rome. She was born Sept. 22, 
1915 in Gordon County and was a member of the First Baptist Church of 
Cedartown. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Truett Greene; 
parents, Andrew Franklin Miller and Annie Lee Gillespie Miller; brothers, 
Charles “Spud” Miller, Ralph Miller, and Jack Miller. Survivors include son, 
Dr. Harry Greene of North Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Nancy Summers of 
Silverthorne, CO; brother, Ed Miller of Rome; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-
grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 2 at 10 a.m. at 
the graveside in Fain Cemetery of Calhoun. Rev. Wayne Benefield officiated. 
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cedartown. 
Pallbearers were Tony Greene, Jay Miller, Jeff Greene, Eric Treanor, Rob Patton 
and Mathew Schlueter. Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun, GA was in charge of the
