Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net October 12, 2006, 11:10 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, March 25, 2004 Edith Munroe Grupe, 82, of 410 Mildred St., Cedartown, passed away Monday, March 22, 2004. She was born March 24, 1921 and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, member of the Munroe Clan Scottsman. Mrs. Grupe also served in the U.S. Army as a nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin C. Grupe; father, Jesse G. Munroe and mother, Katie E. Munroe. Surviving are: sons, Jonathan Allen Grupe of Denver, Co.; Fredrick Charles Grupe of Madison, Oh.; two brothers, Charles Munroe of Oklahoma and Rosco Munroe of Texas and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 24 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Lester Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Brewster-Clevland Post #86. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
