(The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, Ga, Tuesday, July 9, 1963)  
James Theodore Irwin, 54, died Monday, July 1, in Atlanta.  Survivors include 
his wife: the former Shirley Morgan: two daughters: Sharon Jane and Shirley 
Ann: one son: Charles; his mother: Mrs. W. M. Irwin, Cedartown; four sisters: 
Miss Vera Irwin, Cedartown, Mrs. D.C. Moon, Powder Springs, Mrs. H. P. Fielding 
Jr., Decatur, Ala., and Mrs. J. R. McKinney, Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers: W. 
M. Jr., Atlanta, and Fred, Marietta.  Funeral services were held at Blanchard’s 
Chapel, Atlanta, Wednesday, with the Rev. Norman Shand officiating.  Interment 
was in Atlanta’s Greenwood Cemetery.  Pallbearers were members of the Men’s 
Bible Class. West End Baptist Church. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, Ga, 
Tuesday, July 9, 1963)
