Edna Holland Belk, age 76, of 5 West First Street, Aragon, passed away Tuesday, 
Aug. 3, 1993, at her residence.  Mrs. Belk was born Aug. 7, 1916, in Polk 
County, She was a member of Aragon Baptist Church and a homemaker.  Surviving 
are: husband, John C. “Jake” Belk of Aragon; brother, Hugh Holland of 
California: three sisters, Myrtle O’Hair of Satellite Beach, Fla., Lena Stoyle 
of Smyrna, Sara Goldasberry of Arizona; five grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held 
Friday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home, 
with the Rev. Earl Anderson officiating.  Interment followed in Aragon 
Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were: Tony Hopper, Ralph White, J. L. Brooks, 
Fred McDowell, Larry Pittman and Carl Ely.  The Freeman Harris Funeral Home of 
Rockmart has charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown,
