Parrish, 72, 118 Ellawood Ave., died Friday morning at h is residence after a short illness. He was born Dec. 5, 1892 in Floyd County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Men’s Bible Class. He was a retired employee of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. He is survived by: his wife: Mrs. Eunice Barrett Parrish of Cedartown; two daughters: Miss Elizabeth Parrish and Mrs. Jimmy Sutton both of Cedartown; two sons: Elmo of Cedartown and Calvin of Rome; two brothers; Cecil of Cedartown and Sanford of Lindale; one grandchild. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the chapel of First Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Lovelace officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bud Pettit, Russell Barrett, Ambrose Chandler, Frank Hightower, Howard Jackson and James Parrish. Olin Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown was in charge of arrangements.
