Mrs. Vinnie Joe Wyatt, age 69, of Resaca, passed away Sunday, September 6, in 
Floyd Medical Center.   Mrs. Wyatt was born April 16, 1929 in DeKalb County, 
Ala.  She was a member of the Echota Baptist Church and a former employee of 
Alden's.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Smith and Vinnie Prince 
Smith.    Survivors include her husband, Earl G. Wyatt of Resaca; two 
daughters, Joyce Moore and Cheryl Erwin both of Calhoun; a granddaughter, Dana 
Woodard; a grandson, Alton Scoggins; a great grandchild, Madison Leeann 
Woodard; and four cousins, Elsie Pruitt of Cave Spring, Earl Smith of 
Cedartown, and Horace and Marvin Smith both of Cedar Bluff, Ala.  Funeral 
services were held Tuesday, September 8, from the chapel of the Thomas Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Leroy Whitfield and the Rev. J. E. Glass officiating.  
Interment followed in the Blackwood Springs Cemetery.  Pallbearers included 
Ronnie, Earl, Marvin and Sammy Smith, Larry and David Muse, Tim Woodard, Alton 
Scoggins, Charles Phillips and David Etheridge.    Thomas Funeral Home was in 
charge of the arrangements.    This local announcement was made for the family
