Mr. Clyde Eugene Smith, age 57, of Route 3, Blooming Grove Road, passed away 
Monday.  He was a WW II veteran; Disabled American veteran; member of American 
Legion Post 86.  He was born April 12, 1922 in Cherokee County, Ala..    
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Delanor King Smith; two daughters, 
Priscilla Adams, Mary Smith; two sons, Noel Eugene Smith, Jr., George Wallace 
Smith all of Cedartown; one sister, Mrs. Clarence Duncan of Atlanta; one 
brother, James W. Smith of Louisiana; one uncle, Mr. Oscar Smith of Cave 
Spring; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the chapel of the 
Gammage Funeral Home with the Rev. Elgin Williams officiating.  Interment will 
follow in Greenwood Cemetery with full military rites furnished by Brewster 
Cleveland Post 86.  The Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown was in charge of the
