Mrs. Stella "Sheffield" Smith, age 80, of 620 N. Avenue, Winder, GA., formerly 
of Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 1988.  Mrs. Smith was born 
September 22, 1906 in Polk County.  She was a member of the Second Baptist 
Church, Cedartown.  Survivors include; one daughter, Mrs. John H. Chandler of 
Winder, Ga.; five grandchildren and three great-grand-children also survive.  
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 17 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of 
the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Sheffield, Mr. Mack 
Moore officiating.  Interment followed in Northview Cemetery.  Pallbearers were 
L. A. Stephens, Ralph Stephens, Jr., Darrell Stephens, Earnest Stephens, Gordon 
Kellett, J. C. ? (Cedartown Standard, March 22, 1988, page 2)
