Stephens wend@bellsouth.net March 24, 2004, 3:29 pm (The Anniston Star, Anniston, Ala., Wednesday, page 9, May 9, 1945) Mrs. Ethaleen "Ethel" Adams, age 35, of Jacksonville, died at the Anniston Memorial Hospital Sunday night at 10 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Further arrangements will be announced at a later date by Usrey. Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, George Adams; five sons, Marlon, of the U. S. Navy, Clarence, Billy, Joe Tom and Van; two daughters, Martha Ann and Betty Jean, all of Jacksonville; two brothers, Joe B. Stephenson of the U. S. Army and Howard Stephenson of Piedmont, and four sisters, Mrs. Starling Redding, Mrs. G. W. Williams and Mrs. Fred Irvin, all of Cedartown, Ga. and Mrs. Arnold Herbert of Lakewood, Fla. (Anniston Star, May 7, 1945, page 3 and May 9, page 9, 1945) Final rites for Mrs. Ethel Adams, who died at the Anniston Memorial Hospital Sunday night at 10 o'clock, where held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Daily Street Baptist Church of Piedmont. Interment was in the Piedmont Cemetery with Usrey in Charge. Surviving Mrs. Adams are her husband, George Adams; five sons, Marlon, of the U. S. Navy, Clarence, Billy, Joe Tom and Van; two daughters, Martha Ann and Betty Jean, all of Jacksonville; two brothers, Joe B. Stephenson of the U. S.
