Stephens wend@bellsouth.net March 30, 2004, 2:27 pm (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., December 12, 2002) William F. “Bill” Barron, 95, of Wynn Lake Road, Alto, GA, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at his residence following a sudden illness. He was an artist and photographer, retired from the Lockheed Corporation, and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, William F. Barron, Sr. and Eula Barnes Barron. Mr. Barron was born in Polk County on Oct. 10, 1907. A former resident of Snellville, he moved to Banks County in 1978. Survivors include wife, Evelyn Wright Barron of Alto; daughters, Alice Cunningham of Winston-Salem, NC, and Becky Waldrop of Alto, GA; granddaughters, Eleanor Kilpatrick and Liesl Marmon. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Stowe officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. 488, Clarkesville, GA 30523. Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, in Baldwin, GA, was in charge of the arrangements.
