Harlin Lee Hulsey, 65, 350 Vinson Mountain Loop, Rock-mart, died February 4, 
2004. Mr. Hulsey was born July 31, 1938 in Polk County, son of the late Horace 
Julius Hulsey and Annie Portwood Hulsey. He was retired from Estes Express, 
where he served as a Sales Representative for 18 years, a veteran of the United 
States Marine Corp and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. He was 
preceded in death by son, Chris Hulsey; brothers, Calvin Hulsey and Bobby 
Hulsey. Surviving are wife, Margie Chappell Hulsey, Rockmart; sons, Perry 
Hulsey, Aragon and Jason Burkett, Biloxi, MS; daughters, Tonya Keeter, 
Douglasville and Amanda Benson, McDonough; brothers, Hubert Hulsey, Brunswick, 
Alfred Hulsey and Horace Hulsey, both of Rockmart; sisters, Evelyn Hulsey, 
Rockmart, Arnette Parham, Lake Oconee, Ilan Craton, Dallas; six grandchildren. 
The funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 
Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. James Taylor officiating. Interment was 
conducted in the Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta. Pallbearers were Mike Martie, 
Dale Smith, Sam Crisco, Adam Hulsey, Allan Hulsey and Andy Hulsey. Honorary 
pallbearers were J.C. Waters, Ralph Perdue, Tony Clark, Randall Portwood, Gene 
Penny, Jerry Carter, Patric Hulsey, Austin Keeter and Brett Benson. The Freeman 
Harris Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements. (The Rockmart Journal,
